The author is an alumnus of East Negros Institute (now Diaz College), high school class of 1964-1968, and a graduate of the four-year course of Bachelor in Agricultural Technology, class 1977, East Negros Institute (Diaz College), Tanjay City, Negros Oriental. He finished his college studies as a working student at East Negros Institute.

After passing the soil conservation exam given by the Bureau of Soils, Manila, and the Carrer Civil Service Exam (professional), the author was employed as a research station at Dalwangan, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon in 1978.

The author is currently residing with his family in Valencia City, Bukidnon, Island of Mindanao.
