DC Vibrant Sinulog 2026

By: Marjun Ramirez

On January 30, 2026, Tanjay City witnessed a spectacular convergence of devotion and culture as Diaz College transformed into a kaleidoscope of red, gold, and green. Under the inspiring theme “Faith in motion, joy in every step!”, the institution honored the Señor Sto. Niño, proving that spiritual growth is as essential as academic excellence. The rhythmic beating of drums filled the air while students, adorned in traditional crimson velvet and gold embroidery, performed the iconic “Sinulog” dance—a fluid, forward-and-backward motion mimicking the river currents.

This celebration was more than a mere festival; it was a profound fulfillment of the school’s mission to mold value-driven citizens. Faculty and students, known as Dcians, united in the cry of “Pit Señor!”, bridging the gap between historical heritage and modern student life. By integrating the solemnity of prayer with the energy of synchronized choreography, Diaz College continues to stand as a hub of cultural pride, ensuring that every step taken is a step toward a brighter, more faithful future.
